The southern German fashion retailer Yeans Halle has once again initiated self-administered restructuring proceedings. Trender Jeansmode GmbH & Co. Sportswear Großhandels-KG aims to improve its cost structure, make the company more efficient, and secure the long-term future of its 13 stores through this restructuring.
According to the company, business operations continue without restrictions. All locations remain open, and the wages and salaries of the approximately 200 employees are secure.
Attorney Steffen Beckvo of Pluta Rechtsanwalts GmbH was reappointed as Chief Restructuring Officer (CRO). The local court appointed attorney Dr. Tibor Daniel Braun of IBK Illig Braun Kirschnek Rechtsanwälte as provisional administrator.
The company justifies the move by citing the persistently difficult conditions in brick-and-mortar fashion retail. Weak consumer demand, rising operating costs, and intense competition have further exacerbated the economic situation. Additionally, the consequences of a 2025 cyberattack have burdened the company with high costs and lost revenue.
At the end of 2024, Yeans Halle had already successfully completed an initial restructuring process under an insolvency plan. At that time, measures included modernizing IT systems, reducing rental costs, and closing three branches. Despite these measures, the market environment has deteriorated further, making another restructuring necessary.
The new proceedings include further restructuring measures and a reorganization of the management team. The aim is to strengthen the company's competitiveness and create the conditions for the sustainable continuation of the branch network.
Yeans Halle has been operating as a multi-brand fashion retailer in southwestern Germany for more than 50 years. The company has branches in cities including Stuttgart, Sindelfingen, Ulm, Augsburg, and Karlsruhe, and employs around 200 people.
