Heike Discher leaves the company - Helmut Wies is appointed new managing director
Helmut Wies, head of retail consulting at ANWR Schuh GmbH for many years, will form the management of ANWR Schuh GmbH together with Tobias Eichmeier from January 15, 2021. He succeeds Heike Discher, who, after many years of employment, decided to leave the ANWR group of companies in order to set a new course for her career, according to a statement.
“Helmut Wies knows the membership structure and the current challenges of the shoe trade,” says Fritz Terbuyken, board member of ANWR Group eG. “We are pleased to be able to ensure a smooth transition with him as an experienced trading expert.” Helmut Wies and his team have been responsible for providing specialist advice to ANWR dealers for ten years. He previously held senior positions in various trading companies. After the Corona crisis, consulting services will be a key focus of the group's services. In management, Helmut Wies is responsible for consulting, marketing and human resources.
With Heike Discher, ANWR is losing a group expert with long-standing international experience. “After 25 interesting and successful years in the ANWR group of companies, it is time for me to set a new course for my career,” commented Heike Discher on her decision. After starting at Garant Schuh + Mode AG in 1996, Heike Discher was appointed Managing Director of ANWR Garant International in 2013 and President of ANWR Garant France SAS in 2016 following its takeover by the ANWR Group. In October 2019 she also took over the management of ANWR Schuh GmbH.
