Marketplace operator takes over automotive platform Lott.de
The Platform Group has acquired a majority stake in the automotive parts platform Lott.de. Lott has been a supplier of automotive parts since 1987 and has been selling online for 15 years. Over 300 brands with 150.000 products are offered via the platform.
Werner Lott Kfz.- und Industriebedarf GmbH, based in Uslar, is a family business and is now run in the second generation by Alexander and Carsten Lott. The products are sold exclusively online and via a showroom at the Uslar location; online sales take place via 12 own online shops or online channels, including Tyre24. The company has a total of over 100 employees and sales are in the double-digit million range.
“We have been growing significantly for years, and our strategy of adding more and more suppliers and automotive products has also brought us strong forward in 2020. We have massively expanded our logistics and product expertise in-house. The decision to accelerate growth in the future as part of The Platform Group is a great opportunity for our company, especially to expand the platform strategy,” said Alexander and Carsten Lott, managing directors of the company. The two co-owners remain on board, as do the second management level including the authorized representatives and department managers.
