Linz's city center has lost another fashion retailer: Sneaker and streetwear chain Snipes has closed its branch on Landstraße. The store had been at that location since 2016. The company has not yet given an official reason for the closure. The closure follows further restructuring by the company in Austria. Snipes already closed its location at Jakominiplatz in Graz in June.
The closure is the latest in a series of changes on Linz's Landstrasse. In recent weeks, Geox and Interio, among others, have also closed their stores there. While Interio closed its branch after approximately 30 years following the company's insolvency, the closures of Geox and Snipes occurred without much public announcement.
