Students can find out more at the ISC Germany in Pirmasens on March 31st
From children's shoes to fashionable men's and women's shoes to safety shoes and suppliers: the shoe industry in the southwest Palatinate with the shoe city of Pirmasens covers the entire product range of the shoe industry. At the shoe industry's training fair "Step up Shoes - #AusbildungStarten", which will take place on March 31st from 9 a.m. to 15 p.m. at the ISC Germany in Pirmasens, students can find out about career opportunities and processes in the shoe industry.
14 companies and institutions from the regional shoe industry will present the various training opportunities in their companies. The following companies have already confirmed their commitment to the trade fair: Carl Semler Schuhfabrik, Caprice, Kennel & Schmenger, Hanwag, Josef Seibel Schuhfabrik, Lugina, Solor, Supremo, Steitz Secura, PFI Germany with the ISC and the German Shoe Technical School (DSF). the Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences/Pirmasens Campus. The company WL Gore, which trains shoe makers in conjunction with ISC Germany, has also announced its presence.
As part of the trade fair, students gain exciting insights into the various steps of the design process and shoe production. Creativity is very important: On this day, all participants have the chance to make a cell phone case according to their individual ideas.
To enable the participation of school classes from grades 9 to 13, teachers must register in advance with Jochen Schon ( jochen.schon@hs-kl.de ), indicating the number of students in their class, in order to receive an individual entry time. Individual students are also welcome; registration is not necessary in this case. The "Step up shoes – #AusbildungStarten" event will take place under the 3G rule, which includes mandatory mask-wearing.
