The children's shoe manufacturer Ricosta says it has doubled daily production at its Donaueschingen location from 1000 to 2000 pairs. The company announced that the machines were also running at full speed in the company's other European locations in Hungary, Romania, Poland and Croatia.

In addition, this is a commitment to continuing the strategic direction of the company with its own production facilities in Europe, as well as strengthening the Donaueschingen production site.
Since the procurement of materials takes place exclusively in Europe and here primarily in Germany, the effects of the lockdown, which lasted several weeks, were less serious for Ricosta, according to a statement. Through short delivery routes and forward-looking material sourcing, material bottlenecks could have been avoided and production could have been carried out as planned.
