Sporting goods supplier will follow Kempa from July 2020
The sports company Puma will be the new supplier of the German Handball Association from July 1, 2020 and will therefore equip all national teams (indoor and beach handball), as well as all coaches, supervisors and referees. “For Puma it is the next milestone in professional handball sports,” said Matthias Bäumer, General Manager Puma DACH. The new supplier follows Kempa, whose contract with the DHB is expiring.
Through the partnership with the German Handball Association, PUMA is intensifying its handball activities in Germany. In the handball federal leagues, the company based in Herzogenaurach equips the Rhein-Neckar Löwen and the BVB handball women. Several current senior national players such as Julius Kühn, Emily Bölk, Hendrik Pekeler, Franz Semper and Tobias Reichmann are also under contract with Puma. In the coming years, Puma will now provide national players in all age groups with jerseys, training clothing and other accessories.
The new DHB collection will be presented for the first time in summer 2020. The scope includes textiles, shoes, accessories, underwear, merchandise and balls. The first major event at which the DHB and Puma will represent German handball together is the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, if the men's national team qualifies to take part.
