Lederfabrik Heinen presents its new website and social media channels
With a fresh brand identity, the traditional German company Lederfabrik Heinen wants to bring its Terracare brand to life in a new way. The ingredient brand is exemplary leather that is intended to have as little impact on people and the environment as possible. The three pillars Performance, Planet and People are increasingly taken up in communication and are intended to inform and sensitize both end consumers and producers on the topic of responsible leather. In addition to the new website, the two target groups are also reached via the company presence on Instagram and LinkedIn. Measures at the POS and an advertising campaign for the new brand identity are also being planned. The new campaign slogan is “Leather as it should be”. The new logo is a leather silhouette in a stylized globe.
“Consumers are increasingly looking for sustainable alternatives,” explains Thomas Heinen, Managing Director of Lederfabrik Heinen. “With Terracare leather, we offer environmentally conscious leather lovers a convincingly high-performance product with which they do not have to make any compromises. Thanks to our new online presence, we can now pass on our enthusiasm for leather as a charismatic, long-lasting natural product.”
All Terracare leather is manufactured by the Heinen leather factory. The family business, which has existed since 1891, can draw on a wealth of craftsmanship experience and at the same time uses the latest technologies to set standards in the environmental compatibility of production. One hundred percent traceability of the leather across all production levels, right down to the individual skin, is possible under Terracare and can be experienced by the shoe manufacturer via the new LeatherTrace app.
Terracare leather is manufactured in the most environmentally friendly way possible: using a recycling system, water consumption has been reduced by 40 percent. Waste is virtually avoided thanks to a recycling rate of 97 percent and the CO₂ footprint is minimized through the use of renewable energies.
