The fashion retailer Modepark Röther is investing in the expansion of its headquarters in Michelfeld near Schwäbisch Hall. Plans include a new office building and a parking garage with a total area of approximately 10.000 square meters. The project is currently in the approval process, and construction is scheduled to begin in 2027.
With this investment, the company is responding to its strong growth in recent years. In particular, the acquisition of the fashion chain Adler in 2024 and the business operations of the textile wholesaler Ahlers have significantly increased organizational demands. According to the company, the existing office space at its headquarters has now reached its capacity limits.
The new building will provide space for approximately 120 workplaces. According to the company, existing departments will be reorganized and consolidated at a single location. New jobs will also be created. The investment amounts to ten million euros. Planning and development are being handled by the company's own construction department.
“With this new building, we are making a targeted investment in the future and creating modern working conditions,” says CEO Fabian Messner. The company aims to strengthen the Michelfeld location in the long term and create attractive jobs.
Modepark Röther has been based in Michelfeld since 1996. Founded in 1972, the company now operates 57 stores in Germany and Austria with approximately 2.500 employees. Together with the fashion chain Adler, acquired in 2024, the group now comprises around 170 stores in Germany, Austria, and Luxembourg, employing approximately 4.500 people. Since 2023, the group has also included the operations of the former textile wholesaler Ahlers, with its brands Baldessarini, Pierre Cardin, Otto Kern, and Pioneer. According to the company, group sales amount to approximately €700 million.
