Micam Milano will highlight twelve emerging international designers at its upcoming edition from September 13th to 15th. As part of the "Emerging Designers" format, these selected talents will have their own exhibition space at the shoe fair in Fiera Milano Rho.
The brands Éeclat, En Talons, Joel Wijangco, Maliko, Moon2gether, Nalebe, Paidal, Raphia, Stefano Mugnai, Te Dreamers Club, Tenconi and Wud were selected for the September edition . According to the fair organizers, their collections represent diverse approaches encompassing craftsmanship, material research, constructive innovation and the contemporary reinterpretation of classic shoe designs.
“Emerging Designers” was launched in 2018 and is now in its ninth year. Participants were selected by a jury chaired by shoe designer Ernesto Esposito. The panel also included Sabrina Donadel, Ada Kokosar, Americo Cacciapuoti, Bojan Kostic, and Sergio Zambon, as well as Micam President Giovanna Ceolini and CEO Giorgio Possagno.
“With Emerging Designers, we want to not only give up-and-coming designers international visibility, but also offer them a real opportunity to connect with buyers, companies, and industry experts,” explains Ceolini. In addition to presenting their collections, the twelve designers will also participate in the Micam Next program, where they will present their creative journey and their vision for the future of the footwear industry.
