BTE data exchange group met in Waldkirch
The BTE data exchange group in the shoe trade initiated important steps toward optimizing digital processes at a workshop on July 10 at Schuh Volk in Waldkirch. Together with Ricosta, the merchandise management provider BITS, the ECC European Clearing Center, and ANWR Data, the EDI message processes were analyzed in detail. Host Uli Volk also represented the #Schuhhandelhatzukunft initiative, and BTE expert Sönke Padberg moderated the event.
The focus was on reducing process costs, increasing cooperation and transparency between trade and industry, and addressing the challenges surrounding the introduction of e-invoicing. Initial results have already been adopted; further development is now taking place in monthly working groups coordinated by the BTE.
A central follow-up meeting is planned for September at the home of BTE Executive Board member Roman Degenhardt (Der Schuhladen, Bebra). There, Wortmann and ETOS, together with the ECC, will address open process gaps in the EDI process – from order to e-invoice. "With a clear focus on the goal, the shoe industry will succeed in significantly improving data quality by the end of 2025," emphasized Padberg.
