Jeans brand Lee is launching its first footwear collection in the EMEA region for the Fall/Winter 2023 season, having entered into a licensing partnership with the Belgian The Brandsplus Group . The collection includes casual shoes and sneakers for men, women, and children.
“We are excited to expand the Lee portfolio,” said Simon Fisher, EMEA managing director of Lee owner Kontoor Brands. He praised the “excellent procurement and production capabilities” of the licensing partner that will produce and distribute the shoes. The Lee Jeans shoe collection will “perfectly complement the Lee clothing already available.”
The Brandsplus Group, based in Antwerp, holds the licenses for fashion and sports lifestyle brands such as Champion, Pantofola d'Oro and O'Neill. The group also distributes the Fila brand in Benelux. “The addition of the iconic Lee brand to our footwear portfolio underlines the Brandsplus Group’s ambitious expansion strategy,” said Dimitri Van Leuven, CEO of The Brandsplus Group.
