Karl Müller takes over sales management – Olympic champion Lars Riedel strengthens the team

The Swiss health shoe brand Joya is significantly expanding its sales activities in Germany. The company is doubling its field sales force and restructuring its sales territories. The aim is to provide more intensive support to existing retail partners and to attract new specialist retailers.

As part of the sales offensive, founder and CEO Karl Müller will personally assume sales management for the German market. Regions will be restructured to allow for more frequent visits and closer collaboration with specialist retailers.

“Now is the right time to continue growing together with specialist retailers and to set the course for a successful future,” explains Müller. The company sees further potential for health shoes, particularly in the growing health consciousness of consumers and in demographic change.

Reinforcements for the sales team

The expanded sales team includes Karl Müller, Marc E. Scherer, who most recently worked as Sales Manager at ANWR, and Jörg Rausse, who previously worked for companies including the Lorenz Group and Fretz Men.

Furthermore, Joya has gained prominent support: Former Olympic discus champion and five-time world champion Lars Riedel will be working for the brand in the future. The long-time brand ambassador will be conducting events throughout Germany together with specialist retailers, where he will talk about exercise, health, and his experiences with the shoes.

More support for specialist retailers

In addition, Joya is creating a new position dedicated solely to building regional partner networks. The plan is to collaborate with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to generate additional customer leads for specialist retailers.

With the expansion of its sales team, Joya underscores its ambition to further strengthen its market position in German-speaking countries. The Swiss company, headquartered in Roggwil, employs around 250 people and sells its products in more than 40 countries through approximately 100 of its own stores and about 1.200 points of sale.
