The 164th edition of ILM will take place from August 29th to 31st in Offenbach. Despite rising costs, geopolitical uncertainties, and continued consumer restraint, the trade fair organizers say they are optimistic about the event. Visitor registrations indicate strong international demand, and numerous brands have already confirmed their participation.
“We cannot change the economic conditions. But we can decide how we deal with them,” says Arnd Hinrich Kappe, Managing Director of Messe Offenbach. Especially in difficult times, the industry needs venues for personal encounters, new contacts, and the exchange of ideas on future topics.
Among the new features is the return of the ILM Award with a revised concept. The focus will no longer be on individual product categories, but rather on innovation, market relevance, and retail potential. An independent panel of experts will select the three most compelling products on Saturday evening.
For the first time, a Retail Award will also be presented. Around 300 exhibitors were asked to nominate their most important retail partners. Three retailers will be recognized for their commitment, reliability, and collaborative partnerships, as determined by the brands.
Together with the Travel Goods Association, ILM is further expanding its coverage of luggage, outdoor products, and functional accessories. The supporting program includes a panel discussion with Frauke and Nele Ludowig, the networking event "Hidden Highlight," and contributions from more than ten creators and media professionals.
