2026 is a milestone year for Ivančica dd, the parent company of Froddo. What once began as a small group of shoemakers in Ivanec, Croatia, has grown into a leading footwear company with over 650 employees and exports to more than 50 countries worldwide.
For 80 years, Ivančica has cultivated a legacy of high-quality shoemaking, rooted in craftsmanship, innovation, and the promotion of healthy foot development. The company remains true to its origins while simultaneously looking to the future.
Today, Ivančica's production facilities in Croatia are powered 100% by electricity from renewable energy sources – as part of ongoing efforts to protect nature.
Froddo brings this heritage to life in its Spring/Summer 2027 collection – inspired by carefree childhood moments outdoors, exploring, playing and creating memories that last a lifetime.
Built on decades of expertise, the SS27 collection comprises around 740 models in sizes 18 to 42, combining comfort, functionality, and contemporary design. While the collection offers solutions for different age groups, occasions, and foot shapes, the season's strongest focus is on barefoot shoes.
Barefoot Collection: Natural movement with every step
The Froddo barefoot collection continues to grow, offering models based on core barefoot principles: a wide toe box , a flexible outsole , a flat insole , and a zero-drop construction . These features support natural movement and healthy foot development, while giving children greater freedom and comfort.
The SS27 season brings new additions to Froddo's barefoot collection. The collection includes models for every stage of childhood and every foot shape.
For those first steps, there's Minisole – available as both a sneaker and a sandal – with a soft, flexible construction specially designed for the smallest feet. The new Sandal First Step model also offers lightweight comfort and breathability for summer adventures.
The sneaker segment is being expanded to include Kupps, a sporty barefoot style, and Loop 2shooe, a lightweight everyday model made from recycled leather production remnants.
A key highlight of the season is the expanded Barefoot UP line, designed for medium to wide feet and high instep shapes, offering additional space and comfort without restricting natural movement.
For the summer, Froddo introduces the new Lilstep sandal family – Lilstep, Lilstep Fit, Lilstep Strap and Lilstep Girl – a complete barefoot range designed for active outdoor play, flexibility and all-day comfort.
Regular Collection: Updated favorites and everyday comfort
In addition to its focus on barefoot shoes, Froddo continues to strengthen its regular collection with updated bestsellers and new products suitable for all foot widths.
The popular Ollie line has been updated with a new Lifolit® outsole for improved flexibility and durability. It also features a streamlined fit around the ankle and a softer heel area for added all-day comfort.
Tried and tested favorites like Paix UP, Dolvy, Rosario and Luo remain reliable everyday companions, offering dependable comfort, durability and versatility for daily use in different age groups and activities.
The collection also expands its sandal range with revised Keko and Lorine lines, bringing new colours, improved comfort and versatile models for summer adventures.
quality and materials
Quality is at the heart of every Froddo collection. All models in the SS27 collection are free of PFCs and PFAS. The collection uses carefully selected materials, including leather from LWG-certified suppliers, chrome-free tanned leather linings, and GRS-certified components.
A key new product this season is the 2step barefoot line, developed in collaboration with ACBC (Anything Can Be Changed), the Italian innovation company. It applies barefoot principles to a more accessible range and uses animal-free and GRS-certified materials.
To mark the 80th anniversary of Ivančica's shoemaking heritage, Froddo SS27 remains true to its mission: to develop comfortable, healthy shoes that support natural movement and give children the freedom to explore and enjoy their childhood.
