The Hamburg public prosecutor's office is investigating former Closed managing directors Gordon Giers, Hans Redlefsen, and Til Nadler. According to information obtained by "Welt am Sonntag," the investigation concerns suspected insolvency fraud.
The Hamburg-based fashion brand filed for insolvency on August 5, 2025. Creditors are reported to have filed claims totaling around €100 million in the proceedings. Furthermore, allegations of forged contracts and manipulated financial data have surfaced.
According to Welt am Sonntag, Redlefsen declined to comment on the allegations. Giers and Nadler deny them, stating that they had no knowledge of the events in question. The presumption of innocence applies to all involved.
