The second expert talk on August 19th will focus on the start of the autumn season.
Following its premiere in June, the German Shoe Institute (DSI) continues its digital event series "WMS Children's Shoe Whispers." The second edition will take place on August 19, 2026, from 8:30 to 8:55 a.m. and is again aimed at shoe retailers. Registration is available via WMS Children's Shoe Whispers.
The online talk will focus on the topic "Between fit, trends, and consumer reluctance – how to ensure a successful start to the autumn season?". WMS experts Annette von Czarnowski and Manuela Pierog will discuss this topic together with Dr. Claudia Schulz. The aim is to address current challenges in children's shoe sales and provide retailers with practical information.
According to the DSI, the first edition of the format was met with a positive response. It focused on barefoot shoes and addressed questions such as fit, the appropriate age for starting to wear them, and advising parents. The recording of the event is now available on the WMS website and YouTube channel .
The next "WMS Pep Talk" has already been scheduled. On September 3rd, WMS licensees will present their new products and key focuses for the Autumn/Winter 2026/27 season to retailers.
