Crocs benefits from home office

Shoe brand increases sales by over twelve percent in 2020 despite the Corona crisis

The US shoe manufacturer Crocs defied the Corona crisis and increased its sales last year by 12,6 percent to $1,385 billion. Operating profit even increased by 66,4 percent to $214,1 million. The company apparently benefited from the Corona-related work in the home office. The collaboration with Justin Bieber also brought momentum. The growth engine was e-commerce, with an increase of 58,2 percent to $227 million. The wholesale business also increased by 5,6 percent to almost $693 million. Due to the numerous store closures last year, sales in its own retail fell by 3,8 percent to $334 million. In addition, the store network was reduced by 16 stores to 351 stores.
