Adidas is restructuring its finance department: Birgit Kretschmer will be appointed to the Executive Board on September 1, 2026, and will assume the position of Chief Financial Officer at the end of the year. She succeeds Harm Ohlmeyer, who will not be extending his term on the Executive Board after almost 30 years with Adidas.
Kretschmer had already worked for Adidas for 25 years, holding various management positions in finance. Among other roles, she was responsible for the finances of Adidas Western Europe and served as Senior Vice President Corporate & Operations Finance. Since 2020, she has been CFO of the fashion retailer C&A.
Ohlmeyer has worked for Adidas since 1998 and has been Chief Financial Officer since 2017. During his tenure, he oversaw, among other things, the sales of TaylorMade and Reebok. After leaving the company, he will continue to advise it.
From January 1, 2027, the adidas board will consist of Bjørn Gulden, Birgit Kretschmer, Michelle Robertson and Mathieu Sidokpohou.
