Company founder died at the age of 85
Hans Müller, founder of AstorMueller AG, died in France at the age of 85. Together with his wife Brigitta, Hans Müller founded the Astor shoe and leather goods agency in Essen in 1975, which moved from Essen to Rhineland-Palatinate a few years later and is now based in Switzerland.
Müller started the agency business in Italy in 1975 and began having shoes manufactured in Portugal in the early XNUMXs and developing the AM shoe company brand. At the end of the XNUMXs he handed the business over to his sons Oliver and Tim Müller. Today the company produces and sells the licensed brands Bugatti and Daniel Hechter.
“With his pioneering spirit, he created the basis on which AstorMueller AG was able to successfully develop into one of Europe's leading shoe manufacturers. We will miss him,” the company said.
