The association is providing around 150 million euros
The ANWR group of companies supports its national and international shoe, sports and leather goods retailers with additional liquidity support. The Mainhausen-based group announced that the total volume of the program offered through its own DZB Bank is around 150 million euros. The offer of this additional credit line is valid immediately and can be used free of charge until the end of April 2021. A program like this has never existed in this form before.
“Due to the renewed extension of the lockdown and the resulting lack of sales, the pressure on the liquidity of our dealers continues to increase,” says Frank Schuffelen, CEO of ANWR Group eG. “With the 60-day 'lockdown line', we are giving companies more breathing room and the opportunity to concentrate on the challenges of the next few months. Our affiliated houses can thus secure their financing until the third quarter. Bank-supported central settlement via our DZB Bank also ensures punctual payment of all supplier invoices.”
“This immediately usable liquidity support comes at exactly the right time,” says Christian Bode, shoe retailer and deputy chairman of the supervisory board of ANWR Group eG. “Many retailers have their backs against the wall because they have to pay the incoming goods invoices despite a continued lack of sales and despite the fact that many suppliers have granted value.”
